All maps are sanded and finished with multiple layers of a UV-protectant spar-urethane, which both protects from the sun and protects the live bark edges so they are no longer fragile. I make these pieces to handle! However, as with all original artwork, for best care, I recommend you avoid displaying these pieces in the direct sunlight or extreme heat.
The size is approximately 11" x 7.5". However, please note that since every piece of wood is unique, the size may vary slightly and the wood grain will definitely vary piece by piece. I'm always careful when choosing wood to match each design, so it will look great!
